Hello everyone and thanks again to frederik for the nice email I recieved. Thank you also to the side admins for setting up an english section I can post in!

For those of you who dont know my car, here it is:

Its a 97 Aero. Converted to a two door coupe', with 510WHP under the hood and many other goodies here and there.











I will now come occasionally and post updates for all of you on my car. Yesterday I pulled the transmission out to do some clutch work when I actually found a cracked case. It will be another two weeks before I have a new case and can reinstall my built gearbox.



On Feb 15th I won best of show at our first Saab event of the year!



I also have some newish interior stuff.



Im buying my new racing seats as soon as the transmission is back in and then we will be cutting the car up to install the roll cage!

Your car is very impressive.
The only qustion is, you don`t like the aero seats?

It has Aeros right now! I just dont like falling out of my chair in a corner. I always thought the aero's held you in place really good until I had my racing seats. Now I cant wait to have them back!

Holy crap! What an awesome ride you got there! Where in the US are you from? I really got to drop by and have a look next time I am visiting relatives over there! I also (once upon a time) had an idea of realizing a roadtrip thru the US on Route 66, but thought of renting a cheap ride (Mustang convertible), but if there is hope of getting a Saab of any kind, it would be a lot better of course!

That truly is a wicked ride.

Why the conversion to "coupe"? Extra stiffness in the body?

Im so sorry to report this to all of you. I had a car fire on May 7th and the car was completely destroyed. I have had an offer from my insurance company today of $6,200.00. I have been actively looking for a new 9000 Aero (I am hoping for red this time!) and I will be rebuilding a new car over the next few months! I hope you all will enjoy a new thread and watching a build from start to finish?

I hope you get a new 9000 and build it like the old one, but, with some extra precaution with the electricity...
I assume it was an electricity fault..

Oh my. First of all I am very sorry for your loss of a seemingly great car!

Insurancewise is the amount you were offered quite good or nearly a joke considering all the special parts that were put in?
Good that no people got hurt. I will be looking forward to a new thread of a 9000 Aero becoming wicked
